Committee Charge

2024

General Charge:

The Committee is charged with fulfilling its standing Charge as stated in Article VI, Section 11 of the LAUC-LA Bylaws:

a. The Committee shall consist of 2-3 members. The Immediate Past Chair of CAPA shall serve as Chair of the Committee.

b. The Committee shall present an annual workshop to provide assistance to librarians and review initiators in preparation of peer review documentation.

Additionally:

  • Consult with last year’s committee workshop Chair, the current Chair of CAPA, and the LAUC-LA Chair for recommendations on the content for the workshop and the best ways to engage those in attendance.
  • Work with the Mentoring Committee to connect interested candidates with mentors.
  • Develop follow-up drop-in sessions and invite representatives from Library Human Resources to participate.

Don't forget to archive your content!

At the end of the year, please evaluate the information on your LAUC-LA Handbook page. Any documentation that is no longer current but considered important to archive can be moved to the Historical Documents tab.

If you notice areas of the LAUC-LA website that are out of date, please email the webmaster with changes.
