The collection matches the needs of faculty and students in the UCLA Department of Classics and other relevant departments, programs, and centers. Current areas of emphasis include Classical philology, paleography, Classical linguistics, Byzantine studies, medieval Latin, Greek and Mediterranean archaeology, Indo-European linguistics, ancient and medieval philosophy, ancient Greek philosophy and political thought, ancient sexuality and gender studies, and Neo-Latin and Renaissance studies.
