What we collect: 

Judaism: classics, contemporary texts; women in Judaism (historic & contemporary); Judaism and science (historic & contemporary)

Jewish Studies: U.S. Jewish history; Antisemitism/Holocaust; European Jewish history, culture, society and issues; Sephardi studies; North African Jewish studies; Jewish communities from Ethiopia, Yemeni, Middle East/Caucasia, India, China, etc.; Los Angeles Jewish history; 

Israel Studies: Zionism; pre-state and contemporary Israel history, culture, politics, society 

Formats: Books; periodicals (journals, magazines, newspapers, etc.); photos; maps; documents and ephemera of scholarly/historic value

Countries: Israel, United States, and Jewish communities Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and elsewhere around the world

Languages: Hebrew, English, Yiddish, German, French, Italian, Judeo-Español (Ladino), Aramaic, other Jewish community languages (e.g. Judeo-Arabic, Judeo-Farsi, etc.)

Out of Scope

What we do not collect: 

Holy and secular books that are not first editions, of scholarly interest, or unique to the existing UCLA Library collection. We cannot accept duplicates of items already held in the Library.

Family and organizational papers and archives on topics not covered by library collection priorities.

Materials that are accessible from, or more appropriate to other libraries and institutions.
