Research Help

  • Getting Started: Information Research Tips: This research guide provides "introductory help in learning how to identify, locate, evaluate, and use information effectively and ethically for research assignments."
  • Citing Sources: Another useful research guide that contains resources for citing in APA, MLA, the Chicago Manual of Style, and other formats.
  • Online Research Workshops: "The Library offers varied workshops designed to help students succeed as an undergraduate or graduate Bruin and beyond. These workshops teach relevant skills and encourage critical thinking about the research process."
  • UCLA Undergraduate Writing Center: This is a free service for all UCLA undergraduate students. They provide one-on-one appointments and can help with course papers, capstone projects, thesis papers, as well as application materials (CVs, cover letters, etc.).
  • UCLA Graduate Writing Center: The GWC offers free writing consultations, as well as a variety of workshops and programs, including dissertation "boot camps," a master's thesis writing program, and online writing groups.
