New Features in A-Z List, Searches

The A-Z Databases list has been augmented with some new features:

  1. Vendor filter: Users can now filter results (including the full list) by major vendor.
  2. Database "type" filter: Users can now filter results by the type of content indexed or contained in a database. The A-Z Team is still working on the taxonomy for this field... and is hoping to find a better name than "Database Type."
  3. Instead of turning on the subject filter (which would require tagging all database records with subject headings), we've added a drop-down menu that links to the Databases by Subject guide.

LibGuides search box: The guides search box (on the top of every guide page and on the Library home page) now searches BOTH the guides proper and the A-Z list, presenting the results in side-by-side boxes. Click on See more to switch to the "native interface." We're also working with DIIT to add a third box which will contain results from Summon / ArticlesPlus.
