Hello LibGuides Editors,

Your Research Guides Management Team (RGMT) is resuming our monthly “LibGuides Tips and Best Practices” to help you take advantage of what the system has to offer, and to ensure our guides are user-friendly and consistent.

This first tip is a reminder about our Master Boxes, our official repository of shared box content. Master boxes are great for the type of information we provide on almost every guide… information about our catalogs, off-campus access, interlibrary loan, research help, etc.

Why share content?

  • It reduces confusion for our users by providing them with consistent information.
  • It saves you time! Don’t reinvent the wheel over and over again. Use a master box!

To reuse the Master Boxes content, when creating a new box in your guide, simply click on Reuse Existing Box in the Add Box dialog. Then choose Master Boxes, and the box you want to reuse.
