Overdrive & Libby

OverDrive is a platform for ebooks and audiobooks. Materials can be read via your computer, an app called Libby, or on a Kindle.  

Getting Started

Libby logoThe free Libby app is the easiest way to read ebooks and  audiobooks available from OverDrive. To get started:

1. Download and install the app on your android or iOS device.
2. In Libby, follow the prompts to find UCLA Library and sign in with the UCLA Single Sign-On credentials. (Tip: You can set up more than one library card in Libby! Use the app to search for other libraries, such as your local public library.) 
3. Browse the digital collection and borrow a title! 
4. If a title is not available, you can place a hold. After you place a hold, view your spot in line by going to your Shelf, tapping Holds, then tapping Wait List

 

Borrowing Privileges

  • Titles are automatically returned at the end of the lending period. 
  • Check out up to 5 titles at a time.
  • Borrow titles for up to 21 days.
  • You can place a hold for on 5 titles at a time.

Libby Magazine Collection
