UC Library Search, the University of California Libraries' new discovery tool, launches on July 27, 2021.

Selected Library Catalog Subject Heading Searches

Books on television are described in the Library Catalog using broad subject headings related to topic and sometimes genre or theme. These are a few examples of headings with canned searches to try out.

Call Numbers

Books are shelved by Library of Congress call numbers. Using the UCLA Library Catalog is the best way to locate books, but it can also be helpful to browse call number ranges. Below are some of the core call numbers for books on television and broadcast media.

PN1990-1992.92: Broadcasting
PN1991-1991.9: Radio broadcasts
PN1992-1992.92: Television broadcasts
HE8689-8700.95: Radio and television broadcasting
