Access to Physical Media Collections (as of 3/20/20)

As part of UCLA's transition to remote instruction, and the Library's necessary decision to close all Library locations, access to print resources, special collections, and physical media is not available. Please take advantage of electronic resources such as the Library's streaming media databases. The UCLA community can connect to these online resources off-campus via the VPN or proxy server. Interlibrary loan is not currently available for physical materials like DVDs.

Patrons are also encouraged to explore online collections from the UCLA Film & Television Archive. For information on requesting online access to materials held in Instructional Media Collections and Services, please visit this page.

For help with any of our resources, please schedule an appointment with a librarian (audio/video Zoom appointments available), contact your subject librarian directly, or use our 24/7 chat service.

UCLA Media Collections

While individual academic departments may also have their own collections of film and video, the repositories below house collections that are publicly cataloged or listed. Each has a different access policy and many are administered by separate campus entities, so it is important to check individual websites even though many holdings appear in the UCLA Library Catalog.
