Data Science Center

The Data Science Center at UCLA Library provides short-term, free consulting on topics including but not limited to:

  •     data cleaning
  •     data science
  •     data management, publishing and sharing
  •     data analysis
  •     coding and programming
  •     geospatial analysis
  •     working with 3D data
  •     data visualization

Office of Advanced Research Computing (OARC)

OARC’s GIS and Visualization Research Technology Group (RTG) currently provides the following services related to geospatial information systems (GIS) and extended reality (XR):

  • General consulting and mentoring for faculty research projects that involve GIS, XR, real-time modeling, project management and technology scoping
  • GIS and XR training and troubleshooting
  • Research project workstations and facilities through the Technology Sandbox
  • Campus GIS coordination
  • Campus partnership development, specifically for north campus cyberinfrastructure research services

Software Central

Software Central serves the UCLA community by negotiating, acquiring, implementing, distributing, managing and supporting campus-wide agreements for the software products and services commonly used in support of UCLA's teaching, research and public service missions.

Software Central (SoftwareCentral@ucla.edu) provide access to downloading old versions of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Desktop.
