Guidelines for Database Selection
- There should be 1-4 databases per subject.
- Can go higher if necessary, but remember these are databases to "get started."
- If there really are one or two premiere databases in your field that you always start with, then just list those. Why make your users pick them out of a longer list?
- Aim for "mid-range" users who are beyond the "use one database for all topics", but may not be ready to deal with the full complexity available on your guide.
- Try to include at least one good "starter" databases for all user populations
- Err on the side of the larger audience.
