Virtual Private Networking (VPN)
Download the software for the Cisco VPN Client option and follow the installation directions for setup information. The built in VPN client and mobile device options are further down on that webpage.
UCLA OnLine Proxy Server
A simple browser setting which will automatically divert you to a UCLA logon page when you first access a restricted site.
CLICC Virtual Desktop
You can also access a number of software packages remotely, independent of the operating systems you use. See the software list.

Write down the name and date of each database you search, along with keywords, subject headings, author names, and other search terms that found good results.
Use the database's email feature to send yourself the citation information for any articles you want to use.

UCLA does not offer a campus wide license, but there are some free options:

EndNote Basic
This is a free web-based citation manager that will help you collect and organize references and build your citations into a bibliography. Need to use proxy server to access off-campus. Access discontinues once you graduate.

Zotero
