Virtual Private Networking (VPN)
Download the software for the Cisco VPN Client option and follow the installation directions for setup information. The built in VPN client and mobile device options are further down on that webpage.
UCLA OnLine Proxy Server
A simple browser setting which will automatically divert you to a UCLA logon page when you first access a restricted site.

Not all sources are available in online format.

Locate an article from a citation.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Instructions for making an interlibrary loan request for materials not located at UCLA.

Concept mapping software.
Write down keywords/subject headings, names, ... you have used in which database and when.
Use the email feature to end the citation information from databases we subscribe to.

UCLA does not offer a campus wide license, but there are some free options:

EndNote Basic
This is a free web-based citation manager that will help you collect and organize references and build your citations into a bibliography. Need to use proxy server to access off-campus. Access discontinues once you graduate.
