Sources of Data

What Is Data?

Data is both quantitative and qualitative valued variables belonging to a set of items. Data result from measurements (research) is typically represented in tree, graph or table form.

Data is found/collected, then processed to display certain values, then displayed. Even the simplest expression of data in a plain table is a visualization.

Government data, state data, and other freely available datasets are published online for you to use. It is increasingly common for national and international organizations make their data freely available, as that availability allows for the creation of graphics, applications, and more new research.
