Charles Shannon (1863–1937), an English painter and lithographer, met his romantic partner Charles Ricketts while studying wood engraving at the Lambeth Art School from 1881–1885. Aside from working on printing projects with Ricketts, Shannon was individually renowned for his portraiture. 

The Clark Library Charles Shannon Collection includes lithographs, drawings, and woodcuts. 

Collection highlights:
