Exhibit Description

UC President Janet Napolitano and UC Chancellor Gene Block recently issued statements supporting students affected by the reversal of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Following the White Nationalist rally in Charlottesville, VA, Vice Chancellor of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, Jerry Kang, issued a reflection to "take a stand and invite learning" and recommit to the UC Regents' Principles Against Intolerance.

Our library is a public space where we welcome and invite all patrons regardless of background. Diversity and inclusion are critical components of our patron-base, collections, programming, and research. We oppose discrimination and violence against our patrons from marginalized communities.

You are invited to help us take a stand. Place a pushpin on our global map and help us create an inviting space and global map of our UCLA community!

Also, wander around the Biomedical Library and Science and Engineering Library/Boelter to discover different immigrants from all over the world that have positively contributed to sciences!
