Covers
Sheet music covers often feature imaginative art work and photographs. Very often, the same cover is published in a variety of color combinations. The covers also often feature photographs of the composer, lyricist, or performer(s).
Advertisements
Advertisements can be found in a variety of locations within the item. The back cover is usually where you will find them, but they can also be found inside the front cover. In addition to advertisements for commercial items, also included are ads for other sheet music titles. These advertisements are often for a single song, and will include part of the first page of music and often feature images of several covers of the publisher's other sheet music offerings.. Ads found on the back cover are often in color.
